GeoMôn sponsors GeoArt
GeoMôn has embarked on a new set of projects sponsoring GeoArt in association with various organisations and individuals.
Projects range from visual arts, textiles, pottery, creative writing and creative displays.
One recent example was creating a mammoth from pebbles on Trearddur beach during the festival exploring both the submerged forest exposed on the beach and the fossil mammoth skull discovered in holyhead Harbour.
Stitched to the Ground
– a project conceived in 2025 inspired and completed by April 2026 with an exhibition of work and a booklet. Led by Megan Vickery with skills in sewing and embroidery and most importantly community involvement, she conceived the idea of embroidered patchwork to celebrate the geology, heritage and landscape of Anglesey.
